We have come full circle with our school -- starting as a Catholic School, then as a County School, then as a Public School, then as a District School (Renwick) -- NOW WE ARE ST. JOE CATHOLIC SCHOOL AGAIN! This was made possible by the courage, deep faith, and community spirit, along with the strong support from alumni and friends. Our building is sturdy, solid, and a shining beacon in the community -- projecting the heritage of faith exhibited by past and present parishoners, since the founding of St. Joe Parish in 1880.

ACCREDITED UNDER STATE'S
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT SYSYTEM

TOPEKA---Kansas State Board of Education Chairman Dr. Steve Abrams announced that St. Joseph Catholic School, Ost has earned accreditation under the state board's continuous improvement system.

St. Joseph Catholic School, Ost successfully completed the requirements of Quality Performance Accreditation. The state board took action at its October 11th, 2005, meeting in Topeka to officially grant St. Joseph Catholic School, Ost full accreditation status.

"Accreditation under the state's school improvement system is a notable accomplishment." Abrams said. "Accredited status under Quality Performance Accreditation (QPA) means that the school has programs and staff in place to advance student learning, and that the school is experiencing performance results that reflect those efforts."

"Kansas has traditionally set high standards for school and students," Abrams said. "St. Joseph Catholic School, Ost has demonstrated the ability to achieve to those standards.
